Amla

BIOGRAPHY:


With a Masters in Music (Performance Teaching) on flute at the Conservatorium of Music (Melbourne University, 2019), Amla graduated from WAAPA in 2008, before moving on to study her Graduate Diploma of Education at Monash. Amla is a freelance Flautist, Violinist & teacher, performing regularly across Melbourne. Amla has worked with various artists including Huanchaco, Saffron Connection, Los Lopez, Synthesis, Kundalini Project, Bonnie Smith, Karina Lehman, Sin Frontera, and many more, and has performed across Australia, New Zealand and Chile (CNN Chile and Intrusos).

Amla has most recently performed and toured with Adam Hills across Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra in his recent show, ‘Shoes Half Full.’

Amla is very passionate about continually developing and growing as a performer and musician, and is actively experimenting and learning to play (and teach) in as many different styles and ways as possible. She is currently building a name for herself as a loop solo artist (flute, loop, violin, and her voice).
